Governor Cox and Mayor Cherie Wood Visit Torus SL
On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, Torus had the honor of hosting Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox and South Salt City Mayor Cherie Wood at our brand new Torus Salt Lake building. The visit served as an opportunity to show off the bright future of renewable energy storage in Utah and Torus’ commitment to American manufacturing.
Spanning an impressive 44,000 square feet, the Torus Salt Lake building is a showcase of modern manufacturing in the field of renewable energy. Designed with the latest technologies, this state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly facility will also be the demonstration site for using renewable energy storage in commercial and industrial buildings.
At Torus, our mission has always been crystal clear: To enable communities and individuals to become their own renewable energy provider. Using our Torus Station systems that will be manufactured and assembled in the building, we will begin to offset nearly all of our own power costs and carbon emissions.
By investing in our manufacturing capabilities right here in the USA, we aim to boost the accessibility and affordability of renewable energy solutions for everyone.
All of us at Torus want to express our appreciation to Governor Cox and Mayor Wood for their advocacy for sustainable innovation and support for initiatives that create local jobs as we all work together for a cleaner future.
The visit highlighted the strong relationship in Utah between state and local leadership collaborating with home-grown businesses like Torus to solve difficult problems. Our thanks again to the Governor and Mayor for their support of the transformative potential of the new Torus Salt Lake facility!
