About the Role

The Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and continuously improving our warehouse and inventory management systems to support the delivery of a world-class product. This role will oversee inbound and outbound logistics by ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain. Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, the Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and tracking shipments, managing inventory, and overseeing warehouse operations. As a startup, we operate in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and this role will require adaptability and a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond typical duties when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track shipments for both inbound and outbound material.  
  • Receive product at location and properly perform first QC check.
  • Properly maintain bins and other inventory locations to meet supply chain and production needs.
  • Facilitate transfers between Torus locations and corresponding suppliers.
  • Work closely with the internal supply chain team to optimize inbound and outbound logistics and schedules.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 6+ years experience in Logistics/Warehouse Management or Supply Chain Operations.
  • Proficiency in operating a forklift and working comfortably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of coordinating shipping/receiving, and successfully managing inventory in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing various transportation methods (LTL, FTL, parcel, air, and freight) and working with different carriers.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, work within defined timelines, and effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to warehouse and logistics challenges.
  • Hands on problem-solver.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with ocean/cargo freight and international logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS software for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Prior experience managing and training warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on building and fabricating are preferred.

Location + Travel The role is on-site based in our South Salt Lake Headquarters Warehouse (air-conditioned). Available at Warehouse during the hours of 8 AM - 4:30 PM MT.
Schedule Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation $65,000-75,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)
Work Authorization Applicants must already have the legal authorization to work in the US without requiring any employer sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.
  • Ability to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet. 
  • Ability to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.
  • Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must report to work reliably and with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
