About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Production Supervisor. In this critical role, you will work within our facility's production operations, ensuring that we meet our goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity. You will be at the heart of our operations, coordinating with various teams to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining quality, production and safety standards on the production floor
  • Additionally it is the Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure production lines are running efficiently to achieve the established productivity standards
  • Must be capable of leading, training, and working alongside production workers
  • Apply principles of operational excellence coupled with the mission, vision and values of Torus. Establish and manage the workflows supporting the production of Torus’ products or processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and leading initiatives to enhance production processes and product quality.
  • Manage, develop and mentor production team members, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, time and attendance, and disciplinary actions. 
  • Oversee production to ensure all materials and finished goods are free of defects and meet quality requirements.
  • Produce and analyze product data and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience. 
  • A minimum of 2 years manufacturing industry experience.
  • 2+ years previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to successfully monitor and report on key production metrics and output, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies for efficiency.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office and ERP (NetSuite) software.
  • Proven experience operating a clean, safe and efficient production environment.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage competing priorities or opinions.
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Proven ability to provide alignment among diverse teams and create a culture of success.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in general product manufacturing such as commercial/industrial electrical goods.
  • Forklift certification and/or prior experience operating a forklift and obtain certification.

Location + Travel The role is onsite based in our South Salt Lake Headquarters Warehouse (air-conditioned). May require occasional onsite work in Springville R&D warehouse (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned).

Schedule Full-Time, Hourly

Compensation $35.00 - 48.00/hour (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.
  • Occasionally required to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet. 
  • Ability to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.
  • Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must report to work with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
