About the Role
As a Product Marketing Manager at Torus, you’ll have a huge impact on how our innovative energy solutions reach the world. This role is all about connecting the dots between what we build and the customers who need it most—whether that’s utilities, data centers, or commercial facilities. You’ll help shape how we talk about our products, create strategies to bring them to market, and make sure our messaging stands out in a competitive space. Your work will drive real results, helping Torus grow and make a difference in the energy industry.
Responsibilities
Research and Requirements
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
- Define market requirement documents (MRD) and create detailed personas, focusing on utility, commercial, and industrial segments.
Product Positioning and Launches
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, aligning with corporate goals and market trends.
- Analyze competitors’ products and marketing strategies to refine Torus’s positioning.
- Craft compelling product positioning and messaging tailored to target personas, emphasizing Torus’s innovative solutions.
- Create and manage comprehensive product launch plans, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and R&D to align product offerings with customer demands and market dynamics.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, collecting feedback to inform future product iterations.
Product Materials
- Build marketing materials, including datasheets, presentations, case studies, and white papers, that communicate product value effectively.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and execution.
Required Experience
- 5+ years in product marketing, preferably in energy, utilities, or commercial real estate industries. Adjacent industry experience may include data centers, microgrids, and cybersecurity.
- Proven success in launching complex hardware and software products to market, with measurable outcomes.
- Strong background in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Experience in conducting competitive analyses and translating findings into actionable strategies.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with an ability to distill complex concepts into accessible messaging.
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with utilities, energy systems, renewable technologies, or energy storage solutions is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems, including energy storage technologies such as flywheels and batteries.
- Knowledge of grid infrastructure and grid interconnection standards, including SCADA, DMS, EMS platforms, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience marketing to utility companies, commercial real estate developers, or data center operators.
- Knowledge of energy storage solutions, hybrid energy systems, or cybersecurity as it relates to critical infrastructure.
- Experience with market-specific regulatory and compliance landscapes, such as NERC
- CIP, ISO standards, or FERC requirements.
- Hands-on experience with energy management software or familiarity with SCADA, DMS, and EMS platforms.

- Background Check All candidates are subject to a background check.

- Location + Travel The role is fully remote based in Utah. US based remote candidates will be considered. Requires onsite work in our South Salt Lake Warehouse and/or Springville R&D (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned).
- Schedule Full-Time, Salaried
- Compensation $150,000-$180,000
