About the Internship
As a Power Electrical Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in developing, testing and maturing an energy storage product line.

Internship Responsibilities
As a Power Electrical Engineer Intern, your expected projects will be to support design, testing and optimization of energy storage and inverter technologies. In this role, you’ll build test fixtures, assist in test development and prototype equipment testing. You’ll also collaborate with the Hardware engineer team and other cross-functional team members to enhance battery and inverter performance. You’ll thrive in this role as a proactive and resourceful self-starter.
Required Experience
- Continuing Bachelor's degree in a related Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical, etc.)
- Completed Freshman year (2 semesters).
- Strong academic performance, typically reflected by a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components.
- Basic understanding of industry principles and practices relevant to the department of interest.
- CAD experience working with mechanical assemblies and drawings in SOLIDWORKS.
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship program.
- Availability to work the scheduled hours determined by the department's needs.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Authorization to work in the country where the internship is located.
Preferred Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in a related electrical engineering field or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with: Arduino, C-programming, soldering.

Location Onsite - South Salt Lake, Utah (84119). This position works in an air-conditioned warehouse/manufacturing and cleanroom environments. A break area is available with refrigerator access, microwave, coffee maker, and drink/snack machines.
Schedule Full-Time + Hourly
Duration Temporary from May - August 2025 (potential to extend)
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.
- Ability to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet.
- Ability to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.
- Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must report to work reliably and with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
